The free tour aims to show you a rich core of Roman history, an introduction to Christianity and its origins in Rome.

Overview

Rome’s Ultimate Free Walk is an in-depth look at the city’s history, with a view to understanding her present. This tour will get you acquainted with the “B Side” of the Eternal City, presenting stories and sites which might not always be as well-known.

Our tours are given by a group of passionate, enthusiastic and educated guides with a detailed knowledge of Rome’s rich past, and how to get the best from the city.

Our walks are given in smaller groups, with no headsets or umbrellas, and with a maximum of 15 participants so as to give an intimate and personalised exploration of this unique city. The tour aims to show you a rich core of Roman history, an introduction to Christianity and its origins in Rome, as well as the usual funny stories, places to eat, sites to visit, and some essential nightlife recommendations.

This tour lasts around 2.5-3 hours and covers around 3km and is suitable for wheelchairs and strollers.

Our concept aims to give the highest quality exploration of Roman past and present, with no fee, and allow people to tip the guide to the value of their experience at the end of the walk.
